Powerful efficiencyThe TDI® engines of the Audi Q7

Out on the racetrack, our engines regularly impress a worldwide audience. And things are no different out on the road. There could scarcely be more impressive proof of an engine’s reliability and stamina than victories in the Le Mans 24 Hours. In the Audi Q7, we bring this energy onto the road and infuse it with life every day anew.

In the Audi Q7, we bring this energy onto the road and infuse it with life every day anew.

With fuel consumption figures that are outstanding in this class, the Audi Q7 3.0 TDITDISynonymous with muscular torque delivery and outstanding efficiency: TDI. Today, TDI engines are sporty, smooth and economical.TDI quattro sets new standards in terms of efficiency. The key is TDI technology – the combination of direct injection and turbocharging. Furthermore, the 3.0 TDI quattro fulfilling the EU5 emissions standard is equipped as standard with a start-stop system. With an output of 150 kW (204 bhp) or 176 kW (240 bhp), the combined-cycle fuel consumption of the 3.0 TDI quattro is 7.2 l/100 km (7.4 l/100 km) and its CO2 emissions 189 g/km (195 g/km).

The 4.2 TDI quattro developing 250 kW (340 bhp) and 800 Nm* gives you the option of a highly efficient, high-power V8 diesel engine. The 4.2-litre TDI engine allows you to enjoy high performance on less fuel. Enjoy the dynamism of a sports car without having to make any sacrifices when it comes to touring qualities, refinement or acoustics, and experience yet another example of how versatile this vehicle concept is.

Audi Q7 3.0 TDI clean diesel quattro

With the 3.0 TDI clean diesel quattro, Audi is putting one of the cleanest diesel vehicles in the world onto the road. In addition to the catalytic converter and diesel particulate filter, the nitrogen oxide converter with AdBlue®** injection reduces nitrogen oxide emissions by up to 90 percent. This enables the Audi Q7 3.0 TDI clean diesel quattro to already satisfy the EU6 emissions standard only due to come into force from 2014. The engine achieves excellent fuel consumption and outstanding emissions figures – all with the customary high specification and performance of the Audi Q7.

** AdBlue® is a biodegradable additive solution. This is injected in minute quantities upstream of the nitrogen oxide catalytic converter.

Fuel consumption and emissions data:
Fuel consumption, combined, 8.4 l/100 km
CO2 emissions, combined, 219 g/km
